CPC Tuning – Mercedes & Mercedes-AMG

More torque and an open Vmax for current Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG: we fit a new CPC control unit and program it so your extra power actually reaches the road.

What is the CPC?

The CPC (Central Powertrain Controller) is a separate control unit in many current Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG models. It sits between engine ECU and gearbox and coordinates the whole powertrain, deciding how much torque is released in each gear, how fast the car may go and how engine and transmission work together.

What the CPC limits from the factory

• Torque, especially in the lower gears

• Top speed (Vmax), electronically limited depending on the model

• Engine speed and boost limits

• Functions such as Race Start / launch control

• Depending on the car, exhaust flap control and start-stop behaviour

How CPC tuning works at PerformanceX

• Diagnostics: we read engine ECU, CPC and transmission control unit.

• New CPC: we order a new, matching CPC directly from Mercedes-Benz for your VIN.

• Removal and fitting: we remove the stock CPC and install the new one. Your original CPC stays untouched.

• Programming: we program and code the new CPC so torque and Vmax limits match the planned calibration.

• Locked engine ECU? We also take care of the ECU unlock.

• Calibration: optionally followed by Stage 1 or Stage 2 with before/after runs on our MAHA AWD dyno.

Complete package or CPC only

The complete package covers new CPC, programming, ECU unlock if needed and Stage 1 or Stage 2 including dyno runs. If your car is tuned elsewhere, we can also just renew and program the CPC – the ECU calibration is then done by your tuner.

CPC tuning prices

• CPC tuning only (new CPC from Mercedes-Benz, removal, fitting, programming): from €1,190 excl. VAT (€1,416.10 incl. VAT)

• CPC as part of a package with Stage 1, Stage 2 or custom calibration: from €949 excl. VAT (€1,129.31 incl. VAT) plus calibration

• Example: CPC €949 + Stage 1 €899 = from €1,848 excl. VAT (€2,199.12 incl. VAT)

• With a locked engine ECU add ECU unlock €499: from €2,347 excl. VAT (€2,792.93 incl. VAT)

• Optional gearbox optimisation (TCU tuning): additional €149 excl. VAT (€177.31 incl. VAT) – quicker shifts and shift points matched to the new power

All prices are starting prices. You receive the binding fixed price for your car after we check your VIN.

Which vehicles?

Mainly current Mercedes-AMG models such as C 63, E 63, GLC 63, GT 63 4-door, S 63 and G 63, as well as AMG 43, 45 and 53 and other Mercedes-Benz with CPC. We check the right CPC for your VIN beforehand.
